Biography
Dave
Jennette
He began playing guitar at six and hasn't been able to stop. No one
made him or really wanted him to. It was just in him. He played in orchestras
in school till high school and he then began playing and singing in
the choir and taking music theory classes with BJ Frost. She wrote the
state curriculum for music theory. BJ Frost was a huge early influence,
and used to take him to her recording sessions to watch and he learned
a lot. His first band won The Battle of the Bands in Nashville his senior
year of high school. They were doing sessions a month later. That summer
they were on local radio stations. Since then Dave has played with everyone
and every place you can imagine. Close to 2500 gigs to date. I think
he is about to hit his stride! Life is good for Dave Jennette.
Allen
Marshall
A transplant
from the San Francisco bay area, Allen (MrNella) has been playing music
since he was nine years old. Starting out on wood winds, he played in
jazz band from elementary school all the way through high school competing
in many California Music Educators Association (CMEA) events. In his
intermediate school years, the band was invited to the West Coast Jazz
Championships in Reno Nevada, where the band placed in the top ten out
of over twenty entries! Drums took over somewhere near the end high
of school, because Black Sabbath and Deep Purple did not have a saxophone
in their band! From that point on, MrNella was playing drums in metal
bands, blues bands, cover bands, jazz fusion bands and occasionally
a country gig.
Nashville called MrNella one day, and on July 9th, 1990 he arrived in
Nashville with an old Nissan pickup, a trailer and his pit bull "Billy".
Since then MrNella has worked with many different artist in this music
city. Some of his accomplishments have been recording albums, playing
radio shows and some television work with Mean Mary and James town,
working for The Wall Music Group as a demo recording drummer, and having
the privilege to share the stage with many well known artists in this
thriving music town. MrNella has been working with Dave off and on for
nearly twenty years now! It has been quite an adventure and it's not
over yet! Stay tuned!
Gary
Jaworski from Chicago, IL.
Started playing bass in H.S., formed a Wedding Band with a music instructor
along with various garage bands. Moved to Houston, TX in 1984 and performed
with a quasi- Stones Rock-a Billy band the Headhunters. Opened for the
LeRoi Bros., and the Dusters. Moved back to West Chicago in 1990 and
picked up the same band. Moved to Nashville in 1992, and formed "Rough
Stock" and "Leggett". Played in various other bands until
chance meeting with Dave Jennette at a Blues Jam, because I could play
"Nugent" and old obscure blues tunes, I got a call back from
him. The rest is History!
