Filming Of Our First Round Of Television Shows Was A Huge Success!

Well we just got back from a week of filming in Nashville. We filmed our country shows with full bands at the legendary Sound Kitchen in the BIG BOY ROOM and we filmed our Singer Songwriter shows at the famous Fireside Studio on Music Row. The Fireside Studio is the studio that was owned by the late Porter Wagoner.

The filming went just like clock work. The crew and engineers at both locations did an outstanding job. Keith Bilbrey and Megan Conners are our hosts for the shows and both were fabulous!

Anthony Martin has been mixing the audio and Broose has been editing the video and our first round of shows are now on our site under the Television SHow tab.

Cleveland, Ohio's one and only The Ghoul will host our Rock show!

In 1963, 13-year-old Ron Sweed wore a gorilla suit to a live appearance by Ghoulardi, a popular Cleveland television personality played by Ernie Anderson on WJW-TV. Ghoulardi took note of the costume and brought Sweed on stage, and over the next few weeks, Sweed became Anderson's production assistant. Anderson left Cleveland for Los Angeles in 1966 and returned in 1970 to film a television special and Sweed approached him about reviving the Ghoulardi character. Anderson was not interested but gave Sweed his blessings on reviving the character on his own and The Ghoul was born.

Known for his zany, early-adolescent humor (particularly surrounding his abuse of a rubber frog named "Froggy," his well-known penchant for blowing up model ships and aircraft with firecrackers, and his habitual smearing of Cheez Whiz over everything in sight), late night monster movies were a unique experience for Cleveland viewers in the 1970s. The Ghoul would typically take an unbelievably bad horror movie and dump in sound bites at appropriate moments, using audio clips from novelty records, George Carlin, Firesign Theater and rock albums of the 60's and early 70's. And whenever a character took a drink of something on-screen, The Ghoul would supply a good, loud belch.

The Ghoul is still well known for some of his catch phrases ("Overdey!", "Hey group!", "Stay sick, turn blue", "scratch glass, climb walls", "Pluck your magic twanger, Froggy!", "Holy Parma" and Froggy's "Hiya gang, hiya hiya hiya!") are still widely recognized among the children of the 1970s.

Our very own Daylon Wear is not just an amazing musician, who cranks out killer country and rock music, he also has a talent that has landed him on the silver screen !

In 2009 Daylon pimped it up, when he played in the movie "Middle Men" starring Giovanni Ribisi, Luke Wilson,Kelsey Grammer and James Caan. He is also going to be appearing in a movie called "Rough Hustle", starring Matt Bushell and Michael Welch from "Twilight".

He will be playing the roll of a Lounge SInger, so keep a eye out for him when this one hits theatres late this year (2010).

Another person in this month's spotlight is Jim "Gaspipe" Thompson. Jim is one truly talented Sax player and in Dec 2009 Jim did a live recording for Gregg Allman's new album/CD. Then last month Jim just finished a session with Elton John and Leon Russell, produced by T Bone Burnett. Bernie Taupin was also present, and I can only imagine how great of a session that was ! Jim was also one of the Classic Four from the famous 60's group Bobby Fuller and The Four which had the hit "I Fought The Law And The Law One". Make sure you to check out his album GASPIPE "Look out ..He's going to blow ! " available in our store.

Unless you’re a rabid Kingsmen fan, many of you may not recognize Billy Truitt’s name, since the names of the bands—The Kingsmen, The Courtmen, and the Premiers—with which he was associated, always took center stage over the names of the band members themselves. Nevertheless, Billy Truitt was a key player during the late ‘60s and early 70's during the defining of rock ‘n’ roll in the Pacific Northwest and, unlike many of his peers, this very talented individual has achieved a high level of success in the music business right up to the present day and we are glad he is part of the MusicArtists4U.com family.

See you just never know what kind of famous talent is here at Musicartists4u.com !

We are very honored to have Ed Bruce with us. Ed is a down right Country Legend. and he has kept it all going strong for the last four decades. With songs like "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys", "After All", "Girls, Women and Ladies", "When You Fall In Love Everything's A Waltz", "My First Taste of Texas", "Ever, Never Loving You", "The Last Cowboy Song", and thats just a few of them too !.

Ed is also a very talented and successful actor. Ed was the was the co-star of "Bret Maverick" with James Garner, and other star turns include the pragmatic Sheriff Lloyd in the Steven Seagal feature "Fire Down Below". He also played Thunder Malloy in the "Walker Texas
Ranger" . Plus we can't leave out Ed's favorite, the curmudgeonly rancher Mitch in Sundance Films "The Outfitters". Thats just a touch of some of things he has done in his amazing career.
